The wonder drug, water!
People rarely understand how often a discomfort can be cured by water.
If you have a headache, the first thing to do is start sipping water.
The leading cause of headaches is dehydration.
And even headaches with other causes can benefit from being fully hydrated, leading to shorter headaches.
Have an achy joint?
Then fill a plastic zip bag part way full of very warm (not hot) tap water, zip it secure, wrap it in a kitchen towel and apply as a warm compress.
Have a toothache and you’re waiting to see the dentist?
Fill that plastic zip bag again, only replace the warm water with water from the refrigerator and a couple of loose ice cubes for a great cold compress.
